Joe Schmidt believes in serving clients first and works to build successful long-term relationships. He specializes in portfolio management, technical research and analysis, insurance, annuities, lending solutions, and retirement planning. To fully understand his clients’ needs, he uses a personalized planning process that is guided by his extensive experience and supported by exceptional service.
With nearly 30 years of prior investment experience, Joe co-founded Compass Group of DayMark Wealth Partners in 2023. He began his investment career in 1993 when he joined Kemper Securities, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo Advisors. In 2003, he partnered with Compass Group of First Union Securities and remained there until leaving to form Compass Group of DayMark.

Joe earned his bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University and was inducted into the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000. Today, he holds insurance licenses in California (License #0H560640) and Ohio.

Joe lives in Bainbridge Township, Ohio, with his wife, Holly. They have three young adult children. Away from the office, Joe has served as a volunteer soccer coach in his community for the better part of the last 18 years. When he is not working, coaching, or spending time with his family, he keeps busy enjoying the outdoors, hiking, gardening, and fly fishing a good trout stream.
